Muon Lifetime Detection

Fall 2019

Using a scintillating detector, Muons were detected over the course of a few weeks. Enough data was collected to differentiate between μ(+) and μ(-).
Gamma Attenuation Coefficent
Determined the gamma attenuation coefficient for a lead and aluminum for multiple thicknesses and energies for each material.

Fall 2019
Pulsed NMR

Fall 2019

Radio frequency magnetic pulses were tuned and applied to two samples, and the resulting magnetization feedback was recorded to determine characteristic properties for each sample.
